About

Matthew is a senior research staff member of Tableau Research, where he focuses on new experiences for interpersonal communication with data and information visualization. 

A complete list of Matthew's projects and publications can be found on his personal site (mattbrehmer.ca). Before joining Tableau, Matthew was a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia. He also has degrees specializing in Human-Computer Interaction and Cognitive Science.
